If you've been involved in an accident:

1. Exchange your insurance information with the other driver.
2. Document the name of the driver and any other occupants in the vehicle.
3. Verify the vehicle owners name and address.
4. Ask to see the other driver's insurance id card and write down the company name and policy number.
5. Verify the year, make, model and color of the other vehicle.
6. If there were additional witnesses to the accident, ask for their name and phone numbers.
7. Write down the all the damage to both vehicles. If you have a digital camera, or a cell phone with camera features, take photos of the damage.

If you have sustained a loss to your property:

1. Notify us immediately. Notice cannot be more than 180 days after the date of loss when the covered cause of loss is from weather conditions.
2. In case of theft, promptly notify the police.
3. In case of loss under the credit card or electronic fund transfer card coverage, promptly notify the issuing company or bank.
4. Protect your property from further damage, make reasonable and necessary repairs required to protect the property and keep a record of necessary expenditures.
5. Prepare an inventory of damaged or stolen property.
